What made you choose CrossFit True?


  • We live in Town Walk. It’s right behind us.


How long have you been training with us?


  • 1 year and 1 week (or 100 WOD if you wish).


What has been your proudest moment in the past 90 days?


  • I actually did travel workouts while traveling.


When you are not at the gym, what do you do for work? What do you do for fun?


  • I’m a principal software engineer. For fun I usually play video games and hike/walk/bike.


How is your nutrition? How has it changed since joining CrossFit True?


  • Well, this is the end of summer, so… But in general I eat healthy, mostly mediterrean diet with intermittent fasting. This is an area where I improved a lot in the past year, not because I ate a lot of junk food before but because I didn’t  really know portions, micro- and macronutrients, calorie counts. I am much more nutrition-aware now.  


What are your 3 favorite movements/exercises? 


  • Ugh, tough question… Burpee over box, cleans, and (I know, I know… something is wrong with me…) AssaultBike.
    And as an extra movement: running to the bathroom to pee between warmup and workout :)


What is your favorite style workout? (AMRAP, EMOM, Rounds for Time, etc)


  • AMRAP


What about your favorite workout?


  • Anything that makes me question my decision to do this to myself


Any favorite workout songs? 


  • Nothing special. High BPM for conditioning, rumbling bass or screaming rock for lifting heavy.


Have you changed physically or mentally since you’ve been working out with us?


  • Tremendously lot. My physique has never been better, I’m in the shape of my life. Mentally: I learned that when you think you want to quit, that is when the workout starts.


What are your current goals?


  • Eternal life, free beer. Joking aside…. Eternal life. I truly believe if I can get to 80 in a healthy state, technological advancements in health care will give me another 50 years which gives me enough time to probably see humanity create an artificial super intelligence which in 99% will eradicate humanity and 1% solve all our problems including aging/mortality. And even if I’m wrong, I still will be a kick-ass healthy 80 year old ;)


How have your goals changed since you joined? 


  • I little. Still want eternal life and free beer along with 200lb snatch, a BMU and 20m handstand walk.


What has been the biggest surprise since joining CF True?


  • I can run. And even more surprisingly... I enjoy it.


What can you do now that you couldn’t do before joining?


  • Strict pushups, run 5k, unbroken double unders, deadlift my weight, power snatch my wife’s weight
